Welcome to Simma!

Thanks for choosing us as your swim coaching platform. We're as excited as you are to work with you to take your coaching to the next level with Simma!

Set up your profile

We have outlined below, how to set up your coach profile.

From your welcome email, click the link to open Simma on your laptop or desktop computer. Alternatively, head to www.getsimma.com and log-in to your Simma account by clicking on the button at the top-right of your screen.

Once logged in, Simma will automatically open to the "My Progress" view which is your home page. From here, you will be able to see all your recent swims immediately.

But as a coach, head to the top-right and click on the profile-icon, toggle down to "Coaching" to open the coach portal!

Once entered, you will be directed to your coach portal. Your page should have an overview of all your athletes.

Click on "Coach Profile" located on the left and add your coaching focus, levels and preferences to make yourself discoverable to new swimmers, or to direct your existing swimmers to find you on Simma.

Coach Profile

Customise your coach profile to ensure a perfect swimmer-coach match!

1. SETTING UP NAME, LOCATION AND PICTURE

NAME: The email you used to sign up with Simma will have been set as your first name when the system created your coaching profile. To change it, click on the email handle, and type your first and last name, as you prefer to be known as a coach.

LOCATION: Click to add your location using our 'places' service to find new swimmers near you. You can set a town/city, state (if applicable) and country. These will show in the application on your profile.

PROFILE PICTURE/AVATAR: A profile picture or avatar can also be set up. Simply click on the Profile icon and drop in a file/image, adjust and save! We have found that a photo that clearly shows your face (predominantly head and/or upper body) is preferred by swimmers who want to see and get to know their coach! Some coaches might choose to use their brand image here but it's totally up to you!

2. CUSTOMISE YOUR COACHING BIO

Add something about you as a coach, certain attributes about yourself in your coaching bio! Tell the swimmers a bit about yourself. Simply, click on the textbox underneath "Coaching Bio" and start writing!

Coaches need a short bio, up to 240 characters to tell swimmers a bit about you and your coaching. Focus on who you are, the kinds of goals you are looking to work with swimmers on and how you like to work with swimmers local to you or remotely.

3. COACHING FOCUS AND LEVELS

Additional to your coaching bio, it is nice for swimmers to understand what kind of coach you are. The check lists below the "Coaching Focus and Levels" will enable you to highlight your focus and level of swimmer so that you can attract the right kind of swimmers.

4. ADVERTISE YOUR COACHING BRAND

As a swim coach, you might have a brand, a following or a certain crowd you want to attract or direct them to. In Simma, if you scroll down your coaching profile, you can also link your socials or your website!

5. SETTING VISIBILITY

You might be a private coach moving your existing swimmers onto the Simma platform OR you might be looking to be discovered by new swimmers on the platform. Whatever your desire, click on the "Visibility" switch to turn on or off ability for swimmers to discover you on Simma!

6. MAKE SURE YOU SAVE!

After making all these changes, make sure you "Save Profile".

Congrats, you're all set to start coaching on Simma!
